A Curatorial Confluence of India’s Cultural Landscapes

Anant Samagam

Anant Samagam is Aalekh’s flagship multidisciplinary platform. Each chapter brings together regions, practices and practitioners to explore how culture travels across landscapes and generations.

Through exhibitions, fashion, photography, music, food traditions and critical dialogue, the platform reveals culture as a living ecosystem of knowledge and practice.

THE CURATORIAL IDEA

India’s cultural practices have never evolved in isolation.

Craft traditions travel across regions through exchange and collaboration. Music moves through communities and oral traditions. Techniques pass across generations through sustained practice.

Anant Samagam creates a meeting ground where these practices encounter one another.

Each chapter brings together practitioners from different regions and disciplines — opening new dialogues between tradition, material knowledge and contemporary expression.

Culture here is not presented as static heritage. It is experienced as a living network of practice and exchange.
